BLACKROCK
The seaside village of Blackrock has breath taking views over Dundalk Bay to the legendary Cooley Peninsula and is a hotspot for locals and tourists alike. Here you can take a leisurely stroll along the charming seafront promenade, or discover the beaches, wetlands, coves and rock pools. The village has a relaxed atmosphere with lovely artisan shops, bars, cafés and award winning restaurants to be enjoyed. It is also the location of Dundalk Golf Club, home of the PGA in Ireland since 1987 and one of the region’s premier parkland courses, set on an elevated site above the village offering panoramic views across the bay.

Interesting Fact: Blackrock was a tiny collection of fishermen's cottages until late in the nineteenth century when it became a popular seaside resort. It won the Tidiest Small Town award in the 2019 Tidy Towns competition.
